Did you ever find fungi growing on your feet and didn’t know what to do about it? It isn’t overly complicated to get rid of foot fungus. Aside from going to a doctor, you can solve your problem with things lying around your home.
We’ll go through a few of those in this article, but I’d recommend purchasing a high-quality antifungal cream if possible. You can use these home remedies if you can’t get antifungal cream immediately.
Baking Soda Bath/Paste
There are two ways to use baking soda to get rid of foot fungus. The first way is to create a bath of baking soda by placing three or four tablespoons of baking soda into a bowl filled with water wide and high enough to fit your feet in. Soak your feet in this baking soda bath for half an hour twice a day until the fungus is gone.
Alternatively, you can make a paste by combining one tablespoon of water with two tablespoons of baking soda. Gently rub the paste over your feet, focusing on where the fungus is most prominent. Be careful not to touch the fungus with your bare hands as it can quickly spread.
Apple Cider Vinegar Bath
The apple cider vinegar bath is much the same as a baking soda bath except that you add half a cup of vinegar. Make sure the water is warm so that the vinegar mixes in properly. Soak your feet for thirty minutes twice a day until the fungus is gone.
You can combine the apple cider vinegar bath and the baking soda bath together as each bath-type has a different means of targeting the fungus. Using both one after the other will get rid of your fungus faster.
Garlic contains compounds like allicin and ajoene which help to fight fungal infections. Crush up a clove or two of garlic and mix it in white vinegar. Gently apply the mixture to your entire foot and then cover it with a bandage or sock. (Use a tight sock so that the mixture can’t escape)
Antifungal creams remove fungi faster than these home remedies. While you have to pay more for this cream than you would for vinegar or garlic, it is better to make sure your health improves faster.
